BEVERLY HALL RESPONSE: MY CORRECTION & APOLOGY October 23, 2010

On 10/22/2010, I received an e-mail from:  noneofyourbusiness@hotmail.com stating:

Check your facts before posting on your blog! Beverly Hall did not simply close its doors, but was forced to liquidate by the bank following the death of Mr. Hux. The family feels ashamed and is disgusted by the actions of the bank and is attempting to fill all customer orders on the Beverly Hall backlog.

My post followed news reports on local tv stations – which one would think one could trust with “truthful reporting.” It would appear from the response posted anonymously that the local television stations were seeking only sensationalism.  Their stories led us to believe that the company would be leaving its customers who had placed furniture orders and paid deposits without recourse. According to whomever posted the response to my blog,  the family is doing the right thing.  For that I am grateful and offer my sincere apologies.  The responder is correct – I should have researched more and not have relied on the news for my information – a lesson to us all!
